Rep. Thomas Suozzi

Responding to multiple requests from many of his constituents U.S. Rep. Thomas Suozzi (D-NY) wrote to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on August 24, 2020 opposing the FCC’s rules overriding local government authority in order to spread of new 4G and 5G cell antennas in his district. Here is a copy of Rep. Suozzi’s letter. (Scroll down.)

Write to your Representative and Senators and ask them to write their own letters to the FCC.

California’s U.S. Senators are Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris.
In Elk Grove our representative is Ami Bera.

You could say, for example:

Dear [Senator or Congressman],
Local governments should be able to make decisions regarding land use and the public right of way based on what they believe is good for their people. Dictating policy from Washington, D.C. has never been a good way to govern. The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) continues to make national policy regarding new 4G and 5G cell antennas, overriding the power of local government. There are thousands of studies showing long term exposure to cell tower and cell antenna electromagnetic radiation causes serious health effects from headaches to cancer. People should not be subjected to these health effects in their homes. There are no studies showing that 5G cell antenna radiation will be safe or not hazardous.

Please write to the Federal Communications Commission and ask it to reverse all of its rules in the last 3 that limit the power of local government and to make policy from now on that utilizes local government to make choices. For example see the letter from Rep. Tom Suozzi from New York dated August 24, 2020 to FCC Chairman to Ajit Pai.
Please respond to this email.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
